GODERICH – Huron County has announced it will renew a successful program to help property owners and community groups improve surface and groundwater quality. The Huron County Clean Water Project financially assists property owners and community groups with stewardship projects to improve surface and ground water quality. Almost 100 water protection projects have been approved under the program, totaling almost $200,000 in grant money. Applications have already been received for some new water quality projects in 2006.

Sixteen area families are getting the benefits of a great selection of local fruit and produce delivered monthly right to Armand and Liz Roth's farm on Walton Road . This is one of the most active of the dozen pickup sites around Huron County. At $14 it is a great bargain too. Give Liz a call at 887 8373 or 482 3416 ext 2255 - you have to book ahead or get invited over for supper to get some!
